Service Description
Whether your training for triathlon, Open water swimming, surf lifesaving, or you just want to gain confidence to swim in the sea. This clinic works through the key aspects to swim confidently through breathing techniques, sighting skills to swim straight and the method of drafting to save 30% energy whilst swimming. WEATHER; This will not run if the weather is awful...which means cold and raining. However if there is some wind and surf we will be getting amongst it!! Back up day the following day. DETAILS; This is aimed at swimmers who can generally swim at least 500m and beyond. You need to be somewhat confident in water, meaning you can save yourself and get yourself back to the beach if you get overwhelmed. There will be a couple of lifeguards on boards to help out, but this is aimed at Ocean / Surf / Tri swimmers, including beginner ocean swimmers who are just a bit nervous but are confident in the pool. We will start with a discussion for approximately 15 - 20mins and then into it. EQUIPENT; Not compulsory, however wetsuits are advised, for buoyancy and the water temp is still likely to be around the 14 - 15 degrees mark..so ...yea...🥶
